After John McCain canceled his last appearance on the Late Show , David Letterman let the jokes fly (see David Letterman rants about McCain here and here ). John McCain is now scheduled to appear on David Letterman’s “Late Show” this Thursday, October 16.

John McCain announced today that he would suspend his campaign to return to Washington in light of the current financial crisis. John McCain also canceled his David Letterman Late Show appearance tonight - and David Letterman naturally had some jokes to lighten the situation. David Letterman told his audience about the news that John McCain suspended his campaign (and, incidentally is calling to delay Friday’s debate with Barack Obama).
